We are pleased to inform you that, Minister Plenipotentiary Giuseppe Perrone assumed his post as the new Consul General of Italy in Los Angeles on September 1st.

Minister Perrone was born in Taurianova (RC) on September 3, 1966 and, after a degree in Political Science at the University of Turin, he joined the diplomatic service in 1990.

Over the course of his career, he has held many positions, among which at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters in Rome, at the Presidency of the Republic, and at the Embassies in Algiers and Washington.

Prior to his posting to Los Angeles, Minister Perrone was serving a second term at the Embassy in Washington, D.C. as coordinator of the Political Office.
